And a happy New Year to all of you!

Don’t know what the weather is like in your neck of the woods, but here in North Dallas it’s still toasty warm (by winter standards anyway)

Which is a good thing, as we can still go out in the afternoon for a walk and to give the birds some sunshine (they need vitamin D too ya know).

Cairo can fly now by the way. All the way from his cage over to my computer chair! That’s an impressive 30 feet or so for those who don’t know.  He is such a hoot too. He now sings Yankee Doodle Dandy, as well as opera and the billion things he says.

Izzy is back to basic target training since she doesn’t like to come when called anymore. Guess that’s what we get for giving her too much freedom for a while…

Zamorah will be 5 months shortly, and is still growing like a weed. 99th percentile for height and 85th for weight at her last checkup. She’s now 17lbs!

Also, I got my tattoo finished :)

We had another photo shoot courtesy of Mistie Beardmore Photography. This time it was Christmas pictures :)

Here’s a few of our favorites

Not much exciting happening here with the birds.
Izzy is still being…well, Izzy.
Cairo has learned to “put em up” for a treat by watching Izzy. Rival training is great for teaching them :)
Toney got his bike painted with a portrait of Izzy on the tank.

Zamorah on the other hand. Wow. She’s on Prevacid for acid reflux, is teething, said her first word (2 actually: hi and boom) on accident, and is growing cuter by the day!
